Pokémon, A Great War

Hello, Fanaticals! For my American followers, Happy Independence Day! Since today is a family-centered holiday for us in the States, I'm only going to do one theory today but funny enough, it's a common theme with the reason for today's holiday.
Today's theory revolves around the "Great Pokémon War", also known as the Kanto War. While playing the games, you come across hospitals, gyms, homes, ect all over the place. It's not just in specific areas but literally all over, meanwhile there is little to no communication between all the regions.
Wondering why that is, can be explained by The Great War. There are very few adults in Pokemon, specifically adult men. However, in Red & Blue, we meet Lt. Surge; an adult man who talks about how his Pokemon kept him alive during the War. A war that would also explain why there are so many little criminals around. Now, a lot of people say there's not a lot of evidence of a war outside of almost no men and Lt. Surge's comments, but there can be little things here and there.
In later Generation games, during World Tournaments, it is touched on some trainers who are not from the region; starting with Lt. Surge and where his home region is based on, and seeming the fact that he is meant to be "American". People who do research on Surge and his home region will discover that the region was involved in a war, quite possibly the war that Kanto could have been involved in.
Arguments against the War are that certain trainers never got drafted despite their skills. However, if we base this on real life it could absolutely be that they were not drafted due to age. Despite common misconceptions, even a draft has a maximum age limit.
Throughout, as you continue going to different regions someone always mentions something about a war, even if it is never mentioned who was involved.
The whole point of this theory is that Ash's journey is there because he is the first generation living a post-war life and has the freedom to go out and travel.
What do you think? Is Pokémon in a post-war reality? Come join our community and tell us your thoughts. Tomorrow, we will take a deep dive into a few of the Trainers and some darker theories about them. Util then, keep on theorizing, Fanaticals, and have a safe holiday!
